10u

10u – This division is primarily for 9 & 10-year old baseball
players. This division will offer a phased in approach to "kid pitch".
Players will continue their development while initially hitting
off of a "coach" pitching for some part of the season.  Eventually
the league migrates to a mixture of "kid pitching" and "coach pitching".
This division limits some of the restrictions on base-running and
starts to incorporate more traditional baseball rules.  With
the addition of some "kid pitch", players will continue their
progression towards playing full "kid pitch/live arm" baseball.
Each team should play a minimum of 15 games as well as 2
rec tournaments.  Each game has a 90-minute time limit.
Games will be played any any local rec program facility and
can be played Monday-Sunday.

* Any 8-year old wanting to play in this division must
have played 1 year of 8U and/or have approval from
the VP of baseball.  Exceptions may granted only if
space is available on 10U rosters. There are no
guarantees that a player will be placed in the
requested division.

10u Showcase (if applicable)  This 10u kid pitch team will be put
together at the discretion of the VP of Baseball.  Teams
will be comprised of players that play in the 10u league and do not
turn 11 before May 1st.   This 10u showcase team
will play other local 10u rec showcase teams, 9 and 10 year old travel
teams, as well as local 10u Town & Country and Cal Ripken league teams.

This team will serve as a further intro to "kid pitch/live arm" and will
typically play Weekend doubleheaders.  Games will be played on fields
with a 46' pitching mound and may very between 60-65'
base dimensions.

This team will play approximately 8-10 games.
